Scenes from an Execution (Dundee Repertory Theatre) and In a Minor Key were both nominated for lighting design awards in Scotland and Russia, and Before the Tempest … After the Storm, (Cathy Marston) and Le Baiser de la Fée (Scottish Ballet) was filmed and broadcast for the BBC.
Recent lighting for Ballet & Dance includes the Illustrated Farewell by Twyla Tharp for the Royal Ballet and Le Baisir de la Fée for Scottish Ballet and for Perm Ballet. The full length ballets Ondine (Bolshoi Ballet) and Romeo & Julia (Royal Ballet of Flanders & Ekaterinburg Ballet). And one act pieces for the Headspace Dance Company Programmes: If Play is Play and Three & Four Quarters working with choreographers Didy Veldman, Mats Ek, Javier de Frutos, Luca Silvestrini and Matthew Dunster.
Other recent pieces also for the Royal Ballet include The Dante Project, Tarantella, Elizabeth, Ballo della Regina, See Even Night Herself is Here, Carousel Pas de Deux and The Lesson. Ravengirl and Metamorphosis for the Royal Ballet have been co-designs with Lucy Carter.
Recent works for Theatre include Disgraced for the Norwegian National Theatre, The Lady from the Sea for the Print Room. And a series of Samuel Beckett plays with the company Gare St. Lazare including First Love, The End, The Beckett Trilogy, How It Is Part 1 and the devised musical piece Here All Night.
From Manchester and trained in Music at Salford University, in Lighting and Design at RADA with postgraduate study at the Yale School of Drama. Further study in Architecture at University of North London and gained a Masters in Music Composition from the University of Surrey.
